Policy

This policy explains how DIFJ measures public-site usage while minimizing personal data collection.

Our default

Analytics is off until you allow it. Advertising storage and personalization remain off.

Analytics choice

Current choice: not selected

1. Analytics we use

DIFJ uses Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and its own anonymous event analytics to understand where readers come from, which articles are useful, and how the discovery experience can be improved.

2. Cookies, local storage and consent

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies. DIFJ also uses local storage for an anonymous session identifier, saved articles, search interests and your analytics consent choice. Analytics is disabled until you choose Allow analytics. You can reject analytics without losing access to public content.

3. Consent Mode v2

Google Consent Mode v2 is used with analytics storage denied by default. When you allow analytics, only analytics storage is granted. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain denied.

4. Events and anonymous usage data

We may measure page views, article views, 50% and 90% reading depth, site searches, search-result clicks, saves, recommendation impressions and clicks, country changes, and interest in a FIELD CHECK. These events are used for content and product improvement, not to directly identify an individual.

5. Search Console and UTM parameters

Google Search Console provides aggregated Google Search data such as queries, impressions, clicks, click-through rate and average position. Links from X, Instagram, Medium and note may include UTM parameters that identify the channel and article campaign.

6. Data we do not intentionally collect

Public analytics must not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, Google Account identifiers, worker or staff data, or FIELD OPERATIONS personal information. Search text resembling an email address or telephone number is redacted before analytics transmission.

7. Advertising features

Google Signals and advertising personalization are currently disabled. DIFJ does not use this analytics implementation for remarketing, fingerprinting or individual advertising profiles.

8. Retention and security

Analytics data is retained only for the period reasonably needed for traffic analysis, content improvement, security and operational audits. Access is limited to authorized administrators. Retention settings for third-party services are managed in their respective administration tools.

9. Third-party services

DIFJ may transmit analytics data to Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Their processing is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies. Social platforms may process data when you follow an external link to those services.

10. Your choice

You can allow or reject analytics in the consent notice. Rejecting analytics does not prevent browsing, searching, saving locally or reading articles. A consent-settings control will be provided when analytics is activated.

11. Business-interest and partner requests

If you choose “I'd build this” or “Find partners”, DIFJ asks for your role, possible budget, timing, support needs, name and email address. Contact details are encrypted and stored separately from anonymous analytics. They are used only to evaluate and respond to that request.

12. Disclosure and automated decisions

DIFJ does not send a lead to an external company or partner without the person's further consent, except where disclosure is required by law. A lead score helps authorized staff prioritize review; it does not create a contract, payment, investment decision or fully automated legal effect.

13. Retention, access and deletion

Business-interest records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to review the request, communicate about it, prevent abuse and maintain an audit trail. A person may request access, correction or deletion when the dedicated privacy contact channel becomes available.

14. Contact

DIFJ is operated by WellsTech Inc. The dedicated privacy contact channel is currently being prepared. This page will be updated when that channel is available.
